Global Anti-Cybercrime Operation Recovers $97M in Cryptocurrency from Financial Criminals

Interpol's HAECHI VI operation has successfully recovered $439 million in stolen assets, including $97 million in cryptocurrencies, during a multinational effort spanning April to August 2025. Authorities from 40 countries blocked over 68,000 bank accounts and froze nearly 400 crypto wallets while targeting seven major categories of financial cybercrime.
